• As sweeping as Gone With the Wind with characters who wield magic, but this retelling of the Civil War is full of characters to admire and villains to hate. Scenery you can envision and lots of intrigue delivered with pristine writing and storytelling.
• Jane Eyre meets Gone With The Wind in this sweeping, atmospheric gaslamp fantasy page-turner. (I really wanted to work the word “lush” into that opener, too, but you can only squeeze so many adjectives into one sentence. The writing is lush, just so you know.)
